The PCM in the 2006 Dodge Charger is in charge of managing the primary mechanical operations of the vehicle. To reset the PCM, you need to locate the interior fuse box in the trunk or boot. Remove fuses labeled #11, #14, and #16. Make sure the doors are locked, then insert the key and turn it to the "on" position without starting the engine. Keep the key in this position for about 5 seconds or until you hear a chime. Wait for another chime within the next 5 seconds. Turn the key off and reinsert the fuses. This should reset the Charger's PCM. If you need to replace the PCM, the cost for parts and labor is just under $1,000.

To perform a PCM reset on a 2006 Dodge Charger, first, remove the negative cable from the battery. This will cause the PCM to lose power. Wait for 5 minutes, then reattach the cable to reset the PCM.
