To reset the radio in a Chevy HHR, first turn the ignition on, and then switch on the radio. Press and hold the MIN button on the radio until it beeps. The display will show 0000. Use the MIN button to reveal the last two digits of the security code instead of 0000. Press the hour button to show the first two digits. Press the SEC button to select the code and the volume up button to enter it. The radio will go blank and reset, which may take a minute to complete.
