To easily reset the radio in a GMC Terrain, one can disconnect the negative battery terminal for at least 15 minutes. Also, you can press and hold the power button on the head unit to release stored voltage. For newer Terrain models with an Intellilink head unit, accessing the "SETTINGS" menu from the home screen allows for a reset. Within the menu, choose "RETURN TO FACTORY SETTINGS" and select either "RESTORE VEHICLE SETTINGS" or "RESTORE RADIO SETTINGS" depending on your preference, with the former option affecting additional vehicle settings beyond just the radio. Confirm your selection to complete the reset process.
