If the radio in your VW Tiguan is not working correctly, the first step you can take is to reset it. To reset the radio, simply press and hold the mode and scan buttons simultaneously until the number 1000 appears on the screen, then release the buttons. This will prompt the unit to reboot. If this does not resolve the issues with your radio, or if it is not turning on at all, the initial troubleshooting step is to check the fuses. Ensure that the fuses are intact. If they are functioning properly, you may need to remove the head unit and ensure that the wiring connections are secure.

You'll notice the word "SAFE" show up on your radio screen to reset the VW Tiguan phone. To start the process, press and hold the "mode" and "safe" buttons simultaneously until the number "1000" pops up on the radio display. Release the buttons once "1000" shows up. Then, input your 4-digit radio code, entering the first number using the "#1" button.
