To reset the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on a 2013 Subaru Outback in the US, first, find a flat surface to park on. Use a gauge to check that each tire has the correct inflation level – 32 PSI in the front and 30 PSI in the back, including the spare tire. You can also find the recommended PSI for your vehicle on the sticker located on the driver's doorjamb. Start the engine and let it idle for 20 minutes to allow the system to save the new tire pressure readings. Then, drive the car at a speed of 25 mph or higher for 30 minutes. If the low pressure light remains on, try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery cable to reset the settings. If the TPMS light continues to stay illuminated, you may need to use an OBDII scanner to clear the warning.
