Please be aware that not all 2014 Nissan Altima models come with built-in remote start capability; if your vehicle does not have this feature, the following instructions will not be relevant to you. If your car is equipped with a remote start system installed by a third-party manufacturer, you will need to refer to the specific instructions provided by that company. For the standard system, make sure all doors are locked by using the LOCK button on your key fob. Then, within five seconds, hold down the remote start button for two seconds or longer. This button usually looks like a circle with an arrow on the right side. Additionally, if your car has any active diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), remote start functionality may not be available, as this is considered a planned feature rather than a malfunction.
To start the 2014 Nissan Altima, first, press the lock button on your key fob. Then, within 5 seconds, press and hold the engine start button for 2 seconds.
