To check the transmission fluid on a 2013 Ford Edge, start by removing the dipstick, cleaning it, and reinserting it. Pull it out again to see the fluid level between the marked lines. To change the transmission fluid, ensure the car is parked on level ground and open the hood. Locate the transmission fluid reservoir near the transmission, find the dipstick, and repeat the cleaning process. Note the fluid level indicated on the dipstick to determine how much fluid to add. Use a funnel to slowly pour fluid into the reservoir until it reaches the full line, being careful not to overfill. Close the reservoir and you're all set.

Here's my paraphrased and rephrased version: The gear shift lever is located on the top of the transmission case, towards the front of the vehicle on the right side. To access it, twist it counterclockwise and then pull it upwards. It may require some force to remove. The manual advises checking it while the engine is warmed up and running.

Hello there. Indeed, the 2013 model comes with a transmission dipstick. Specifically, my 2013 Limited edition vehicle has one located about midway down the hood, in front of the steering wheel - quite a stretch to reach.

There's a dipstick for the V6, which is 13 feet long. It's located to the right of the engine oil dipstick. Look down and to the right, and you'll spot a black cap that's approximately 2.5 inches wide.
