To inspect the transmission fluid level in a 2010 Chevy Malibu, you'll have to raise the car and ensure it's on a flat surface. Gather an 11-millimeter socket, ratchet with extension, and make sure the transmission fluid is warm. Lie beneath the vehicle from the front, locate the plug at the rear of the engine near the A-arm leading to the driver's side wheel. The fluid should reach the bottom of the fill hole. Chevrolet advises against checking the transmission fluid unless there's a leak or performance issues.
