To check the transmission fluid in your Honda HR-V, start by pulling the hood release lever located by the driver's seat to open the hood. Locate the transmission dipstick on the driver's side of the engine near the battery; it has a yellow handle for easy identification. Before removing the dipstick, let your car run for a bit to warm up, ensuring a more precise reading of the fluid levels. After wiping the dipstick with a cloth, reinsert it, then take it out again to see where the levels are and top up the fluid if needed.

To inspect the transmission fluid in your Honda CR-V, locate the dipstick on the right side of the transmission casing. Take out the dipstick, clean it, reinsert it, take it out again, and check the fluid level. The fluid should fall within the upper and lower indicators on the dipstick.
