The fuel filter in the 2010 Ford Focus is integrated into the fuel pump unit. Typically, the fuel pump is located underneath the vehicle, connected to the fuel rail. Accessing it is relatively straightforward since it is secured by a couple of bolts that are easy to remove. The cost of replacing the fuel pump can range from $200 to $800 on average. In certain instances, both the filter and pump are inside the gas tank. In such cases, a new gas tank will be needed to replace the pump, although there is external access to install a new filter. The prices for this procedure are comparable, perhaps slightly higher than just replacing the pump.
