Opening the trunk of a Chevrolet Cruze in the United States can be a bit frustrating as it requires the vehicle to be in park. You have a couple of options to open it though. One way is by pressing the trunk release button on your key fob twice, then pressing the latch release button on the trunk itself. If you don't have your key fob, you can accomplish the same thing by making sure all doors are unlocked using the manual electric unlock button inside the car, and then pressing the latch release on the trunk. Always remember to have all doors unlocked and the Cruze in park before attempting to open the trunk, or it won't open.

To pop open the trunk on a Chevy Cruze, push the trunk release button located on the driver's side door. To unlock it using the key fob, double-click the trunk release button quickly. After unlocking both locks, press the button above the license plate on the trunk or lift-gate to fully open it.
