If you have a newer model Ford Focus, chances are you have Ford's SYNC system, which is powered by Microsoft. Although you may lose some control, it offers convenience by making it easy to connect your phone. Start by turning on your phone, your Focus (while the engine is off and in park), and your radio/SYNC system. Activate Bluetooth on your phone and press the PHONE button in your Focus. Then press OK and select ADD A DEVICE. Confirm by pressing OK again. SYNC will prompt you to press OK once more to pair a new device. Next, access your phone's Bluetooth menu, choose SYNC, and enter the SRX code displayed on your SYNC screen. Once the code is entered, your phone will be connected via Bluetooth.

Enable the Bluetooth on your phone. Access the phone menu on the digital display of your Ford Focus. Your vehicle will prompt you to connect your device with Sync; just hit "okay" to start the setup.
