Jump starting a 2013 Volkswagen Touareg may be a bit unusual as its battery is situated under the driver's seat. However, there are terminals located under the hood of the engine. You can locate these by opening the hood and looking for a small cover on the right side of the engine compartment. Lift this cover to reveal two terminals, one of which has a red plastic cover. Connect the positive lead from another battery to this terminal, and then attach the ground cable to the negative terminal of the other vehicle, making sure to clamp it onto a bare metal surface in your VW. Finally, proceed to jump start your vehicle as you normally would.

To jumpstart a car, first make sure to link its battery with the battery of another vehicle. This will help power up the car.
