The air suspension feature in the Dodge Ram 1500 offers 5 different ride height levels, with "normal ride height" providing 8.7 inches or 220mm of clearance. As you drive faster, the system will lower the truck's height to improve fuel efficiency. When off-roading, the suspension will raise the truck for better clearance over obstacles. The system operates automatically but can also be controlled using your key fob or a digital button inside the cabin. If there are issues with the software or technology, a dealership can perform an "Adaptive Reset" of the system. Owners can also try disconnecting the Ram's battery for 30 minutes and then reconnecting it to reboot the suspension. If the ride height still isn't working, a blown air compressor fuse may be the problem - look for the #F5 green 40 amp fuse.
