The driver information display in the FIAT 500 might show a flashing mileage gauge when there's a communication issue among the vehicle's different systems. If the data sent to the gauge is unclear or not properly transmitted, the FIAT's odometer could flash on and off. This problem is often linked to a low-voltage battery or incorrect jumping of the battery recently. To try and fix this, you can reset the system by disconnecting the positive and negative battery cables, leaving the battery disconnected for at least 5 minutes, and then reconnecting it. If this process doesn't solve the problem with the gauge and odometer communication, it's best to book an appointment with an authorized dealership for a "configuration alignment.

I've tried all options for my partner's Fiat 500, but when I called a Fiat dealership, they wanted $500 just to run diagnostics. They then mentioned it could be another $700 to fix the issue. Lesson learned: Avoid buying a Fiat 500.

How can I get the mileage display to stop flashing in my 2015 Fiat 500? I've already replaced the module located behind the panel behind the passenger seat, but it's still blinking.

My Fiat 500 had a flickering odometer and a persistent battery drain issue. It continued even after I replaced the batteries. The auto shop determined that the Bluetooth module was malfunctioning and offered to repair it. If your Blue and Me system is not functioning properly, it can be fixed or replaced. I chose to have it fixed at a local garage rather than the dealership.

Typically a quick solution. It might happen if you have a faulty or incorrect battery installed. Stop-start cars need a specific stop-start battery, which may cost a bit more, but it's worth the investment.

It is suspected that there may be a damaged wire in the wiring of the tailgate, which is causing electrical feedback and draining the battery. As a result, you may notice issues with the tailgate not opening properly, such as occasional difficulty and eventually complete failure to open.

If the back door won't open and is malfunctioning, it can lead to the mileage display flickering.
