To adjust the headlights on a 2012 Chevy Malibu, you can use a Philips screwdriver to turn the two screws located under the hood on the top of the headlight assembly. The screws are found at the top and middle of the light's frame as well as along the inside edge of the frame. To check your adjustments, park the car 1 foot away from a blank wall, then use tape to mark the distance from the ground to the middle of each headlight. Create a cross-shaped tape mark with the center in line with the lens. Next, drive the car 25 feet back from the wall and turn on the lights. The driver's side beam should fall in the lower right square of the tape cross, 2 inches below the horizontal line and 2 inches to the right of the vertical line. The passenger's side beam should shine 2 inches below the horizontal line and directly on the vertical line. To make any necessary adjustments, simply use the screws to move the lamp assemblies accordingly.
To change the alignment of the headlights on a 2012 Chevy Malibu, just use a regular screwdriver to turn the adjustment screws until the light shines where you want it to on the wall.
