You don't have to go through the whole Jaguar calibration process by disconnecting the battery. Just replace the brake pads, pump the brake pedal firmly three or four times, then continue holding down the brake pedal while you turn on the ignition and pull up the handbrake lever on the center console. And that's it – job completed!
