To reset the fuel pump on a Chevy S-10, follow these steps: Start by turning on the ignition with the engine off. Watch the Security light, which should turn off after about 10 minutes. Then, turn off the ignition and wait for 5 seconds. Repeat these steps 2 more times for a total of 3 cycles or 30 minutes. It's crucial that the vehicle theft deterrent system learns the key transponder information when you switch the ignition from off to crank. Remember to turn off the ignition before trying to start the vehicle. After completing these steps, start the vehicle. This process should teach the vehicle the key transponder information and the PCM the fuel activation code, which will supposedly reset the entire alarm system. Good luck with this!
