If your BMW X3 won't start and you suspect the immobilizer is the problem, you can reset it by using the programmed keys to unlock the doors. Using the key fob will send the right signal to the ECU to deactivate the immobilizer. If your X3 has been idle for a while and the battery is low, it may struggle to recognize signals from the remote. In this scenario, charge or replace the battery before attempting again. To disable triggered alarms like honking horn or flashing lights, simply insert your key into the ignition, turn it to the ON position, and keep it there for more than 10 seconds.
