If you're confident that your Malibu requires a reset, you have two options to try. First, you can disconnect the negative battery terminal for 15 to 30 minutes, but this method may not always work. Alternatively, you can unlock the door using your key, open it, turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine, and keep it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Then, turn the ignition off, repeat the process two to three times, wait for one minute after the final attempt, and finally start the car.
