To purge the air from the clutch system of a Ford Transit, you will need to move the air downwards through the fluid line to the bleeder valve located on the slave cylinder. For cleanliness, it is recommended to connect a tube to the nipple of the bleeder valve. Using a clear tube can help you easily identify when all the air has been expelled from the system. If you experience a soft or spongy feeling in the clutch pedal when pressing it down, it indicates low clutch fluid levels. This spongy sensation is caused by the presence of air in the clutch line running from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder.
To bleed the clutch slave, you can either use a power blast or tap the bleeder with a hydraulic line.
