To remove the rear seat in a Chevy Equinox, first unbolt the bottom of the seat from the floor. Removing the back seat is done in two steps. Stand in the center of the car, and grab the back seat. Lift and pull up on the back seat from the middle to loosen it. Once loosened, pull it away and take out the bottom portion from the car. If the car has a back door, turn the seat to the side and slide it out through the back door. For a two-door car, move the passenger seat all the way forward and recline it to make space for sliding the seat out.
