To maintain proper brake function in a 2013 Ford Escape, refer to this video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNl5_xvcDT4 It is crucial to keep your brakes in top condition to avoid potential issues. Inadequate brake fluid can cause screeching noises, while worn brake pads can lead to difficulties with stopping. Early brake wear should be addressed promptly, as well as any loose bearings that may affect braking performance. Brake failure can result in accidents, so be sure to replace aging brake components as needed. Plan to replace brake pads and shoes every 50,000 miles, brake rotors every 60,000 miles, and brake fluid every 20,000 to 45,000 miles.

The most efficient approach is to replace all brake light bulbs on both sides of a 2013 Ford Escape simultaneously. Start by opening the rear hatch and locating the bulb housing assembly. Remove the round tabs covering the bolts to access the housing. Unbolt and detach the housing to reach the inside. Then, remove the rivets and gently lift the housing away from the vehicle before pulling it out. Twist the bulb assembly counterclockwise to release it from the housing and remove the bulb from the socket. Secure the new bulb by inserting and clicking it into place in the socket.
