As you do this, you might hear annoying noises coming from the air conditioner. Loose bolts can be quite a bother, and a faulty compressor can make it noisy. Excessive Freon can also lead to these unwanted sounds. It's essential to address these noises promptly to avoid frustration. Dealing with a malfunctioning air conditioner and feeling hot and uncomfortable is not pleasant. That’s why it's crucial to keep the air conditioner in good working order. Over time, you may encounter problems with this component, such as a faulty motor or an unreliable thermostat. Unpleasant odors from the vents can also affect your comfort. A loose fan and a Freon leak can also lead to discomfort and make you sweat.

The cabin air filter can be found in the bottom corner of the passenger side footwell. Press down on the carpet to release the attached sides. Take off the lower panel of the glove box, unscrew the air filter, squeeze the housing tabs to take it out. Swap in a new filter, clear out any dirt, and then put everything back together.
