Replacing a headlight on the Chevy Malibu can be a bit tricky. Start by taking off the plastic cover that goes across both headlights. Next, remove the clips near the tire on the side where you're replacing the headlight. Then, detach the bottom part of the bumper to loosen it up. Lift the top part of the bumper where the headlights are located and then unscrew the bolts holding the headlight in place. Once they're removed, gently pull the headlight out. Swap out the old bulb with a new one, put everything back together, and you're good to go.
Remove the light cover by unscrewing it, then unscrew the light bulb. Replace it with a new bulb and then screw the cover back on.
