To replace the parking lights on a 2013 Ford Escape, start by using the hood release lever inside the vehicle and the safety latch under the front hood to open the hood. Then, secure the hood with the prop rod and turn the front parking bulb assembly counterclockwise to take it out. Finally, remove the bulb from the socket. It's important to note the significance of parking lights. These lights are meant to draw attention to the edges of the car during early morning or evening hours, or in adverse weather conditions when it's not yet dark enough to turn on the headlights. They are not meant to light up the road ahead, but rather to enhance the visibility of your car in dim lighting.

There is no way to reach the light bulb assembly from above by lifting the hood. The only option is to remove 8 bolts in the wheel fender assembly to reach the bulbs.

To replace the parking lights on a 2013 Ford Escape, first, use the interior hood release lever and front hood safety latch to open the hood. Keep it in place using the prop rod. Twist the front parking bulb assembly counterclockwise to take it out and remove the bulb from the socket. The turn signal system has around four bulbs on both the front and rear of the vehicle. To change the other parking lights, loosen the bolts and rivets on the wheel well lining to access the inside of the wheel well. Remove the bulb assembly and the bulb. Install the new parking light bulbs and secure both the hood and wheel wells.

To replace the parking light (also known as the marker light) in the bumper of my 2013 Ford Escape, the entire bumper needed to be taken off. The bulb itself was priced at $21.23, and the labor cost was $129.00 because the bumper had to be removed for the replacement.
