Your 2011 Chevrolet Traverse has already exceeded 100,000 miles. Unless you are noticing poor performance or other problems, it's best to keep the spark plugs as they are until it's necessary to replace them. Assuming you have purchased new spark plugs, let's go ahead and install them. Start by opening the hood using the release lever. Remove the plastic cover and air cleaner assembly from the top of the engine, remembering to label any hoses for reassembly. Disconnect the ignition coil connector, then take off the coil. Remove the bolt and pull out the entire coil and boot assembly. Now, turn the plug counterclockwise to unscrew it. Before installing the new spark plug, use a gap gauge to check the gap. Put in the new spark plug and repeat these steps for the remaining plugs until all have been replaced.

Take off the engine cover, if there is one, and then carefully remove the spark plugs. Next, install the new spark plugs and reattach the engine cover.
