Changing the transmission fluid in a 2015 Ford Escape is a relatively simple task, similar in difficulty to an oil change. To get started, you'll require a ratchet and sockets. The initial step involves lifting the vehicle or working underneath it if you prefer. Position an oil catch canister under the drain plug, then remove the plug to allow the fluid to drain and be collected for recycling. Once the fluid is drained, replace the drain plug with a new washer and o-ring. Finally, use an oil syringe to refill the transmission through the fill bolt located at the top of the transmission.
For the 2015 Ford Escape, it is recommended to change the transmission fluid every 150,000 miles.
