If you need to reset the anti-theft system on your Ford F-150, you can try a soft reset by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 10 to 15 minutes. However, most anti-theft issues may persist after this. In that case, you may need to follow a more detailed reset procedure. You'll need two programmed keys for this. Start by inserting one key in the ignition and turning it to the "ON" position, then back to "OFF" and remove it. Quickly insert the second key within 5 seconds, and turn it to both "ON" and "OFF." Reinsert the original key within 10 seconds, leave it in the "ON" position for one second, then turn it off. Keep the key inserted until the security light comes on.

To reset the anti-theft system on a Ford F150, first, insert your first programmed key into the ignition of the car and turn it to the "on" position. Then, turn the key back to "off," take it out, and insert the second programmed key within 5 seconds. Cycle the second key between "on" and "off," and then remove it. Next, insert the key you want to reset within 10 seconds, keep it in the "on" position for one second, and then turn it back to "off." Wait until the security light comes on, then remove the key to finish the programming process.
