To reset the anti-theft system on an older Ford F-150 truck, start by making sure all the doors are closed. Turn on the vehicle without starting the engine, then press the power door unlock button three times. Turn off the power and press the door unlock button three more times. Turn the vehicle back on, you should hear the horn sound. Press the unlock button one last time, then turn off the power. The system should now be reset.

I followed all the steps as instructed - turned it off, pressed unlock three times, then turned it back on three more times. I was supposed to hear the horn blow, but it didn't. I continued with the rest of the process, turned it off as directed, and went home. However, the car still wouldn't start.

What if you don't have power-operated door locks? What if your doors don't unlock automatically with the push of a button?
