To reset the alarm on a 2009 Ford F-150, begin by inserting the key into the ignition and turning it to the on position. Next, switch the car back to off, remove the key, pause for five seconds, reinsert the key, turn it to the on position. Repeat this process by cycling the key on and off twice, then remove the key. After waiting for 10 seconds, place the key back in the ignition and turn it to the on position. Keep the key in the on position and wait for a few minutes. Eventually, the security light will start flashing. At this point, turn the key to off and take it out to complete the alarm reset on your vehicle.

To reset the anti-theft key for a 2009 Ford F150, you can follow these steps:
    1. Insert your first programmed key into the car's ignition and turn it to the "on" position.
    2. Remove the first key, take it out from the ignition, and replace it with the second programmed key within 5 seconds.
    3. Turn the key to "on" and then back to "off" before removing the second key.
    4. Insert the key you want to reprogram within 10 seconds, turn it to "on" for one second, and then back to "off."
    5. Leave this key in the ignition until the security light comes on, then remove the key to finish the programming process.

The best advice I received was to keep the key in the on position for 10 minutes, and it actually worked.
