The Dodge Stratus' anti-theft system cannot be reset by the owner and requires special software for a hard reset, which is only available at a dealership. The cost of resetting the Anti-Theft Module is typically less than $100. If the alarm goes off accidentally, you can deactivate it by pressing the "unlock" button on the Stratus' RKE transmitter or manually turning the key in the driver's door lock. Both methods will reset the alarm. However, to turn off an interior anti-theft warning light, you must have the module reprogrammed by a certified dealer or Dodge expert.

I just purchased a 2006 Dodge Stratus, but it's missing the key module and the security light is illuminated on the dashboard. I suspect it's the interior security system. The previous owner didn't have the security module. How can I resolve this issue so I can drive the car?
