Having an anti-theft immobilizer in your vehicle is helpful in deterring potential thieves, but it could be inconvenient if it prevents you from accessing your own car. Occasionally, you may need to reset the anti-theft system on your 2000 Lincoln Navigator, which is a straightforward process. To do this, you will need to enter your Navigator with both your ignition key and key fob. Put the key into the ignition and turn it from OFF to RUN eight times in a row within ten seconds, finishing on the RUN position. You will notice the door locks cycling on and off. After that, press and hold the UNLOCK button on your remote until the locks cycle once more. If you hear the second cycle, it means your anti-theft system has been successfully reset.

In order to reset the anti-theft system in a 2000 Lincoln Navigator, you need to push and hold any button on your remote within 20 seconds after the eighth turn. Keep holding the button for up to 20 seconds until you hear the locks click and release on their own. To stop the reset process, simply take out the key from the ignition.
