If you are experiencing issues with the anti-theft system in your 2009 Mazda6, you may need to reset it. This process is simple and only takes a few minutes. Start by placing your car in the ACC position and turning off the stereo. Then, simultaneously press the AUTO-M and channel 6 buttons until the screen displays "CODE." Press the AUTO-M and 6 buttons again until four blanks appear on the screen. Enter a four-digit code and make note of it as it will be used to lock and unlock the system. Press the two buttons again to complete the reset. If you continue to face difficulties with the anti-theft system, it is advisable to contact a Mazda dealership for further assistance.

Has anyone found out how to repair the car or disable the anti-theft system if the car won't start? It's happened twice now, and I'm not keen on shelling out $2000 to the dealership to address the issue or justify the high cost 😭.
I was just advised to disconnect the black cable from the battery for 15 minutes and reset it that way.
