To deactivate the Chevy Cruze's alarm if it's mistakenly triggered, press either the panic or unlock button on the key fob. Another option is to use the key in the driver's door to unlock and reset the anti-theft system. Many Cruzes can be reset by removing the key from the ignition and disconnecting the positive battery cable for a duration of 10 minutes. Once 10 minutes have passed, reinsert the key, turn it to the "on" position, and reconnect the positive battery cable to reinitialize the anti-theft warning system. Another method to try is holding the panic button for 5 seconds, then pressing the lock button twice. After that, walk 10 feet away from the vehicle and wait 10 minutes before pressing the unlock button twice. This procedure could also reset the anti-theft warning system.
