Begin by turning the key to the ON position and trying to start the engine, which will not work due to the engaged antitheft system. Then turn the key back to ON and wait for the SECURITY light to come on for about 10 minutes before turning it off. Switch the ignition to OFF, wait 10 seconds, and turn it back to ON. Try starting the vehicle again - it may now start, indicating a successful reset. If not, repeat all the steps up to three times until the system resets and allows you to start the engine.
