Resetting the ECU in your Ford Transit can also come in handy after making modifications to your vehicle. To manually reset the engine control modules, locate the fuse box on the passenger side near the battery. Once your vehicle has warmed up, turn it off and remove both fuses or disconnect the battery to cut power. Wait a few minutes for the old data to reset, then plug the fuses back in or reconnect the battery and restart your vehicle. Let it idle for at least 10 minutes to allow the ECM to adapt to any new modifications. It's crucial to reset the ECU after installing modifications to prevent any conflicts with the engine's previous performance due to the module's sensitivity.
