To reset the ECU in a 2016 Honda Civic, follow these steps: 1. Drive the car until it reaches operating temperature. 2. Locate the ECU fuse under the hood in a black plastic box on the driver's side of the engine. 3. Check the underside of the panel's lid for the plug location. 4. Remove the fuse and wait 15 minutes before re-inserting it. 5. Alternatively, disconnect the black or negative battery cable, wait 15 minutes, then reconnect it. 6. Start the vehicle and let it idle for 15 minutes without pressing the gas pedal. 7. Turn the vehicle off and back on, allowing the key to reset the ECU. 8. Drive the car to complete the reset process.
