To reset the electronic control unit (ECU) in a 2004 Nissan Titan, first insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the on position. Then quickly press the gas pedal all the way down five times in a row. After the fifth press, release the pedal and wait about 10 seconds. Press the pedal down again and hold it to the floor for up to 12 seconds until the "service engine soon" light starts blinking. When the blinking begins, release your foot from the pedal and wait another 10 seconds. Press the pedal down once more, and the light will blink faster. After 10 more seconds, switch the ignition off and wait a few minutes for the truck to reboot itself. Finally, start the engine.
