If the Ford Edge's air conditioning is only coming out on one side of the vehicle, you might need to reset the HVAC module. To do this, close the doors and find the climate control power button on the center dashboard. Press and hold this button along with the Edge's defrost button for a few seconds, then release. Press the climate control power button one more time to complete the reset. Another way to recalibrate many functions of the Edge is by disconnecting the battery cables for 15-20 minutes and then reconnecting them. If the cabin still doesn't reach the desired temperature or the issue persists, the actuator of the module may need to be replaced. The average cost for replacing the actuator in the Ford Edge's HVAC module ranges from $150 to $170 in parts and labor.

To reset the HVAC module in a Ford Edge, simultaneously press the power button and the defrost button on the climate control panel.

    The temperature remained constant.

At times, I need to say "fix" multiple times before the hot air switches to cold on the side.

The attempted fix didn’t do the trick, as the problem persists with inconsistent temperature.

As mentioned earlier, you may have to switch out the blend door actuator on the non-functioning side. I ended up having to replace the actuator on the driver's side, which was a challenging task. On the other hand, replacing the one on the passenger side was a piece of cake. Unfortunately, the one that needed fixing was on our car - typical luck, right?

I had to simultaneously press both buttons to make it function properly. It took a few attempts, but I managed to get it to work in the end. Thank goodness!
