The oil change and inspection light in your VW Tiguan serves as a reminder to schedule a service for your vehicle. Typically, a mechanic or dealership will reset this light after completing work on your SUV. If they did not reset it, or if you are performing maintenance yourself, you can easily do it. Start by turning off the engine of your car. Then, hold down the 0.0 button located on the right side of the instrument cluster. Turn on the ignition and wait until the wrench light illuminates without blinking. Once the wrench light remains steady, release the 0.0 button and press the left button to reset it.
The OBD scanner isn't able to reset the inspection alert as needed.
To clear the check engine light on a 2018 VW Tiguan, you can either reset the battery by disconnecting both positive and negative cables or use an OBD scanner to reset it.
