If your 2006 Dodge Charger goes into limp mode, it is likely due to an issue detected by your car's ECU. The dashboard may show a check engine light. It is advisable to pull over promptly and use an OBD II scan tool to retrieve the stored code from the ECU. For significant issues, it's best to have the car towed to a repair shop. If it's a minor issue like a faulty sensor, you can reset the code to exit limp mode. However, the light will return until you fix the underlying problem.

To get the 2006 Dodge Charger out of limp mode, simply pull over and come to a full stop. Put the transmission in park, turn off the ignition key, wait for about 10 seconds, and then restart the engine. After that, select the gear you want to use.

My 2006 Dodge Charger R/T Daytona was driving fine today until it suddenly felt like it was in neutral - no noise or response. It wouldn't go into any gear properly, and I couldn't rev past 2-3000 rpm in any gear. I had to have it towed home, and even after clearing the codes (one of which was PO700) it won't start. I tried to get the check engine light to come back on, but no luck so far. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

I've attempted to resolve this issue without success. Even though I could manually adjust the red lines, the transmission refuses to shift. I've replaced both the input speed sensor and output speed sensor, but the problem persists.
