To reset the maintenance light in a Toyota Prius, first make sure the car is parked with all doors closed. Next, turn the ignition key to the ON position without starting the engine. If your Prius has a push-button ignition, press the start/stop button twice without pressing the brake. Use the arrow buttons on the steering wheel controls to navigate to the settings menu. Scroll through until you find the vehicle settings menu and confirm by selecting OK. Choose MAINTENANCE SYSTEM and press OK. Within that menu, locate OIL MAINTENANCE and press OK. Confirm by selecting YES and pressing OK again. Finally, turn off the ignition and start the vehicle to ensure the reset has been successfully completed.

For a 2014 Prius, begin by starting the car and changing the trip odometer to 'trip A'. Then, press and hold the MPH/KMH button. Turn off the car while continuing to hold the button, then turn the car back on while still holding the button, and observe the reset taking place.

To clear the "maintenance required" reminder on a Toyota Prius, follow these steps: Firstly, press the power button twice. Next, use the odo button below the display to cycle through until the odo reading appears. Then, power down your Prius by pressing the power button once. After that, hold down the odo button and press the power button twice without pressing the brake. Keep holding the odo button until the flashing dashes vanish and your odo reading reappears.

Thanks a lot for your help! Your instructions were spot on, and I was able to achieve what the Toyota Service Department couldn't.

To reset the distance unit and clock on the Prius V III hybrid, you need to press and hold the buttons for kilometers/miles and hours simultaneously while powering the car off and then on again. It's not necessary to remove your foot from the brake pedal.
