To reprogram the key for a 2013 Ford Escape, begin by using the admin key to start the vehicle. Then, navigate to the settings option on the screen and select "Press Reset to clear my key." Hold down the reset button for two seconds until the screen displays "all my keys cleared." The my key feature allows you to set keys with limited vehicle functionality to encourage safe driving behavior. You can set all keys but one in this restricted mode, with the remaining keys acting as admin keys. The cost of replacing a car key can vary depending on the type. A basic key replacement may be under $50, while a more advanced key fob could cost over $500 if obtained from the dealership.

I have more of a question than an answer. In my settings, I don't see a "press reset" button or an option to clear keys. I only have the admin key, and I want to reset or clear it so I can adjust the settings. The volume on my stereo is limited, and some other features cannot be manually changed at the moment.

To clear the mykey settings, first use the administrator key to start the car. Navigate to the main menu and select "press reset to clear mykey". Hold down the reset button for two seconds until you see "all mykeys cleared" appear on the screen.
