To reset the oil life on a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, make sure the car is safely parked after each oil change, which typically happens every 7,500 to 10,000 miles. Start the vehicle (or if it's push-to-start, press and hold the engine start/stop button for 5 seconds without touching the brake). Use the controls on the steering wheel - locate the arrow buttons on the right side of the wheel. Navigate to the "VEHICLE" tab menu with these arrows, then scroll down to "REMAINING OIL LIFE" using the up and down buttons. Hold down the check mark button for about 5 seconds until a confirmation message appears. Press yes to confirm, then turn off the ignition and restart the vehicle.
Here it is:
"First, turn the ignition to the on position but don't start the engine. Use the navigation button to check the remaining oil life on the multi-information display. Then, press the gas pedal all the way to the floor three times in five seconds.
