To reset the oil life on the 2016 BMW X3, first find a safe place to park the car. You should reset it after each oil change, which should be done every 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. Remember to also replace the oil filter when changing the oil. To get started, turn on the vehicle without starting it by pressing the start/stop button once. Hold down the Set/Reset button for 10 seconds until the service indicator light comes on, then use the Set/Reset button to navigate the service menu. Look for the "Reset" option and press the Set/Reset button for 3 seconds. Confirm the reset by pressing the Set/Reset button again for 3 seconds. Finally, turn off the engine and start the car.
