To change the oil life indicator on a 2010 Ford Edge is a simple process that only takes a few minutes. Start by turning the ignition to the second position and locate the directional pad on the left side of the steering wheel with up, down, left, and right arrows. Use the directional pad to navigate to the display settings, then go to vehicle and select oil life reset. Choose to reset at 100% by holding down the ok button until the reset is completed. It's recommended to do this reset every 7,500 miles when you change the oil. While this process can be complicated in many vehicles, it's quite easy to do in the Ford Edge.
To clear the oil life or maintenance alert in your 2010 Ford Edge, simply put your key in the "on" position and press the gas pedal down three times slowly. After that, start your car and the oil light should show as reset.
