To reset the oil system in a 2015 Hyundai Elantra, you should start by changing the oil. Begin by ensuring the car is parked and turned off for a few hours to avoid getting burned by the hot oil. Locate the oil pan and drain plug underneath the engine. Place a container under the plug and remove it to allow the oil to drain completely. Let it drain until it stops dripping, which might take about an hour. Once the oil has fully drained, replace the drain plug and find the intake port on top of the oil pan. Use a funnel to pour in the new oil, being careful not to overfill. It's better to have a little less than too much oil to prevent leaks. After filling the oil to the right level, close the port, clean up any spills, and you're done. To reset the oil change alert, find the O/D button on the dashboard, hold it down until it flashes, and the oil has been successfully reset.
