To reset the oil life on a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, you should start by changing the oil. To do this, ensure that the car has been parked and turned off for a few hours to let the hot oil cool down and prevent any risk of burning yourself. Locate the oil pan and drain plug in the engine compartment underneath the car. Place a bucket beneath the plug, remove it, and let the oil drain completely, which might take about an hour. Once it has stopped dripping, replace the drain plug and find the intake port on top of the oil pan. Fill the oil pan using a funnel until it is full, being careful not to overfill, as it can cause leaks or oil burn off. It's okay to have a little less than full. Once filled, close the port, clean up any spills, and you are all done.
