Failure to do this may result in the vehicle signaling for another oil change earlier than needed. Resetting the reminder is a quick process. Start by turning the ignition on without starting the engine. Then, press the accelerator to the floor three times within five seconds. You'll see the oil light flash and reset. Once done, you can turn off the ignition.
